The PDW-680 XDCAM HD422 camcorder is a mid-range Professional Disc camcorder with many of the same features as the more advanced PDW-700. The PDW-680 has three 2/3-inch type Exmor CMOS sensors for recording 1080/50i or 1080/60i HD images or MPEG IMX and DVCAM SD, as standard. Progressive mode is available only for playback. More IT based operation. The PDW-680 is designed to enable a smooth migration from tape camcorder use to PC-based operation to improve workflow efficiency with MXF/MPEG interoperability and metadata functions.

The HDW-750P puts all the advantages of shooting High Definition at 25P/50i into the hands of the programme maker, maximising creative opportunities and control without sacrificing portability or battery life. It is an extremely compact and lightweight design, with a robust and reliable construction. Adopting a 2.2 million-pixel FIT CCD, and Advanced Digital Signal Processing (ADSP), the camcorder ensures superb picture quality and low-power consumption.The HDW-750P makes it easier than ever to capture pictures that will satisfy the most exacting producer. By shooting 25 frames per second in progressive scan mode (25P), your shots will share "filmic" motion portrayal that can add a subjective richness to improve both the quality and marketability of your production. The PMW-200 is supplied with a 14x Fujinon lens for remarkable picture quality and flexible creative control with three independent rings with end stops. The PMW-200 can also record in a range of different formats as well as being compatible with other XDCAM HD 422 and XDCAM EX equipment. High-quality MPEG HD422 50 Mbps recording is fully compliant with the latest EBU recommendations for long form broadcast production and is widely accepted in broadcasting stations and production houses. Sony PMW-EX3

The PMW-EX3 combines a state-of-the-art, non-linear XDCAM workflow with simply the best HD quality yet seen in a semi-shoulder camcorder. It is also the first semi-shoulder camcorder to carry the legendary CineAlta 24P brand with multiple frame rate recording capability such as 59.94i, 50i, and native 23.98P, as well being 1080i/720P switchable. There is also a choice of a 35Mb/s High Quality mode or a 25Mb/s, HDV 1080i compatible mode. To take advantage of this high performance recording capability, the PMW-EX3 uses the same imaging system as the PMW-EX1, consisting of three ½-inch type CMOS sensors, each with an effective pixel count of 1920x1080. In addition, there's a purpose-built interchangeable Fujinon Professional HD ½-inch 14x lens and a unique dual focus ring mechanism. Included in the package is a ½-inch lens adaptor to allow use of other ½-inch lenses, plus the ability to use other optional lens adaptors for 2/3rd-inch, cinema-style and digital SLR lenses. To maximise recording time, the PMW-EX3 has two memory card slots which means with a pair of 16 GB SxS PRO memory cards, it can record up to 140 minutes of HD footage.

The PDW-700 captures stunning HD images. It features three newly developed 2/3-inch progressive Power HAD FX CCDs at 1920 x 1080 resolution. 14-bit A/D conversion and advanced digital signal processing are also used to ensure the highest picture quality. The PDW-700 records at a data rate of up to 50Mb/s using an MPEG-2 4:2:2P@HL compression technology called MPEG HD422. The camcorder features multi-format recording at 1080/50i, 1080/59.94i, 1080/25P, 1080/29.97P*, 720/50P* and 720/59.94P*. It also supports record and playback of XDCAM HD* (4:2:0) at 35Mb/s, 25Mb/s and 18Mb/s**, and XDCAM standard definition MPEG IMX and DVCAM material***. With fast file-based operation and outstanding picture quality, the XDCAM HD422 line-up has widened the appeal of XDCAM for applications such TV drama, documentaries and general entertainment programs, and for ENG where speed of operation is a critical requirement.

Sony RM-B170 RCP for XDCAM and HDCAM cameras
The RM-B170 remote control unit is the successor to the RM-B150. It provides an even more affordable solution for basic remote camera operations, with added features, including the remote control of media and the operation of clips of non-linear media. It can be directly connected to a camera or camcorder as a portable-type remote control unit or it can be connected to a CCU for use as a simple remote control panel. The RM-B170 can control a camera from a distance of up to 100m (328 feet) when connected directly to the camera.
